About
I started PhotoNest because I lost a folder of photos.
Not literally. They were still on the drive — buried under 13,000 other photos, with names like IMG_4837.jpeg, dates that lied, and no way to find the ones that mattered.
I'm Phillip. I'm the only person who works on PhotoNest. I started it because every “AI photo organiser” I tried gave me folders called “European Travel 2018-2020” when the photos were actually from a two-year mission to Berlin. The tools were technically correct and emotionally useless.
The trick to good folder names is the same as the trick to good writing: you have to actually know the person. PhotoNest's Premium tier asks you targeted questions about patterns it found in your library — “we see 240 photos in Germany 2018-2020 with what looks like a name badge — tell us about that” — and uses your answers to name the folder “Mission 2018-2020”. That's the whole product, in one sentence.
PhotoNest is hand-built in the UK, supported by one person you can email directly (that's me), and engineered to never train AI on your photos or sell them on. If a folder name lands wrong, you can edit it, and the next batch you upload learns from your change.
